FEVER CLINICS AND TRIAL DRIVE-THROUGH CLINIC

‘Fever clinics’ have been activated at Sunshine Coast University Hospital, Nambour General Hospital, Caloundra Health Service’s Minor Injury and Illness Clinic and the Gympie Hospital, in response to the coronavirus outbreak.

A “virtual clinic” is also available with referral from a general practitioner, 13 HEALTH, public health unit or another healthcare provider.

A trial drive-through fever clinic has been established at Caloundra Health Service’s Minor Injury and Illness Clinic. It is open every day between 8am and 8pm and testing is only possible if people are experiencing symptoms such as a fever, cough and shortness of breath.

The Federal Government has launched a national campaign to inform all Australians about the coronavirus. The campaign aims to reduce the risk to individuals and families by enabling them to make informed decisions and to take up health recommendations. Access the campaign materials below.

The perfect elevator pitch: How to sell your great idea in 60 seconds

November 19, 2019 By BMN

A great elevator pitch can create interest in a project, product, idea or a person in 60 to 90 seconds. A big pitfall is to make your elevator pitch all about you: who I am, what I can do, how my plan works.

The most interesting person to someone else is them, and it’s so important that your pitch is all about them – your listener. If your listener is a potential customer, it needs to be about giving them something they will benefit from and be able to use.

Practise writing your pitch and saying it until you can release it quickly, clearly and effectively.

A mentor is someone with extensive business experience and knowledge who can advise and guide you on a range of business matters.

Whether you are just starting out or want to expand your business, it’s always a good idea to extend your business support network.

As a mentee, you can benefit from having a mentor if you are trying to get a new business off the ground or looking to grow a more established one.
